Scientist for hire? Does anti-neonic activist David Goulson produce pre-determined ‘research’ for funders? | Genetic Literacy Project

Leading UK sustainability researcher embroiled in a scandal over alleged manipulation of European bee health advisory group takes NGO advocacy money to support “independent” research–for which he has already announced his conclusions.

anti-GMO groups coordinate their messaging, often working with pro-organic scientists who have shown a willingness to deliver studies supporting the industry that funds them while dissing biotechnology research.

I am so, so laughing. The source of the headlines and article is the genetic literacy project. The name sounds so truthful. Oh but they are funded by Monsanto and they’re accusing _others_ of paid research? I’m so, so laughing.

My friends, at the same time there is not one truth. There is no such thing as fake news. It’s only people trying to manipulate you to their way of thinking. And as our advertising industry has grown, and grown, and grown, the manipulation no longer has any morals to it.

My friends take a microbiology class. Learn some facts. Learn about your own biological body. Learn to think. And then, and only then, have an opinion on GMOs, how to control your diet, whether other humans should be forced to vaccinate, whether stem cell research is the most horrific thing on the face of the planet, etc, etc.

Learn some facts, and then doubt everything you _know_.

On Monsanto and the First Amendment

“Your honour – he’s a professional protester!” the Assistant District Attorney called out in horror.

the Assistant District Attorney above was trying a case that Monsanto had brought and was pushing against two protesters in Iowa. The DA above had filled a motion That would have not allowed the defendants to

defend our actions by invoking the First Amendment, on the grounds that we have protested many times in our past and are therefore free speech abusers. Professional protester!

Norman Siegel, for many years the head of the New York American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), told us that in his experience this motion is without precedent. Retire a portion of the Constitution for a trial? Retroactively suspend a defendant’s First Amendment rights? What other kind of defence strategy would a protester even consider?

Monsanto’s attacks on citizens that are critical of its popular herbicide, RoundUp, and its glyphosate toxin are similar to fundamentalist religions like Scientologists, Zionists, or the National Rifle Association.

This lawsuit was brought in Iowa.

Iowa is very much a Monsanto state: It absorbs more of the herbicide, RoundUp, than any other state in the union, and Iowa’s cancer rates are said to be high.

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad endorsed Trump, and now will be the new ambassador to China. Monsanto will like that.

Feed me, feed me, FEED ME!

37 Koi in one of my pool conversions. If you look closely you can tell that it is clear all the way to the bottom. Eight feet down. I can see goldfish swimming on the bottom on the opposite side of the deep end which means looking through a water path of 12 or more feet. This pool is out in bright sunshine and is still clear. I have had new clients with ponds that are only two feet deep that you can’t see the bottom!
These koi will already eat out of my hand. And there are more than 20 goldfish that hang out near the bottom but join their friends for dinner.

New advice: Peanuts in baby’s diet can prevent scary allergy

WASHINGTON (AP) — New parents, get ready to feed your babies peanut-containing foods — starting young lowers their chances of becoming allergic.

Source: New advice: Peanuts in baby’s diet can prevent scary allergy

Oh my! A gift of possessed “snacks” at a pediatricians office. Could there be any better “planned obsolescence”. What a better way to start one off on the road to sickness and increased profitability by the medical community.

But this actually started me thinking about antibodies in mother’s milk. Our immune systems and antibody systems are highly regulated. Antibodies are controlled by feedback systems that work on antibodies produced. It’s likely that mothers who eat peanuts can transfer some peanut allergy _protection_ to their infants through their breast milk. The best thing you can do for your child is to breastfeed.

Best to all

David Wolfe at Standing Rock – David Wolfe

Source: David Wolfe at Standing Rock – David Wolfe

Welcome my friends.
Please take a moment to listen to the interview in the source above.

I have been telling as many people as I know about the outrageous behavior of our big chemical companies at Standing Rock. Don’t separate oil production and agricultural pesticides they are both produced by massive chemical companies that do not have your best interest at heart.

Permaculture in my opinion is more than taking a class to allow you to name specific zones and to get a landscaping license specializing in permaculture. It is about living with our world, and protecting our world, and protecting our insects –and water –and people, and being a little less selfish.
But that’s just my opinion.

43 koi and 20+ goldfish

Owner is really having fun. Has got many eating from her hand!
20161125_082554
Took a month or so longer than I thought to clear up but I just recovered a 2″ piece of 1″PVC pipe from the deep end.
20161125_152933

I “love” trying to take pictures that really show anything. I know it just looks light green but that little piece of PVC is _10_ft down with no toxic algaecides. There are a huge number of ponds in Los Angeles less than 2ft deep that are not clear. Look at all the (anti)algae stuff for sale on any pond store site. :-)

Wait till they get big! She will have 2 to 3 ft koi!

Best to all.
