I have also been trying to get confirmation that the US Forest Service is involved in the Glyphosate spraying.

So I looked for US Forest Service permits in the county that in 2023 had the highest glyphosate use: El Dorado county in Northern California.
The California cdpr has started removing the permittee information in their public files so I had to file a PRA (the California equivalent of a FOIA. The database file that I finally got was not in the best shape; I’ll call it PRA.
Out of over 17,000 lines more than a third were large duplications of random address cells. But this PRA file did have some permittee information on the USFS
So I spent some time cleaning it up and then verifying that it had all the original information; just not all the duplications.
I had asked for the full file the county had sent to the cdpr; but including the permittee information.
But what I got somehow did not have any of the amount, volume, or active ingredient data for the pesticides used nor any way to estimate the pounds of active ingredients. So I combined it with the California pesticide use report data file (PUR). This actually took the longest for me to do because I had to not only match up the records from each source (PUR and PRA) 1pur 1pra 2pur 2pra 3pur 3pra etc. but also ensure that each pair was in the correct order. Fortunately I’m a database wizard lol.
The results were stunning.
I documented for myself the first use of the new cdpr chem code (-2). The use of this code allows the cdpr to hide any information about what the chemical is from you; even what the chemical name is. Because they need to protect big business proprietary information (or in other words from being responsible). And hiding chemical name and other information from you will prevent big business from ever again have another problem like glyphosate because you won’t know what the chemical is being sprayed.
Hard enough to prove glyphosate causes cancer it’ll be even harder to prove chemical “unknown” caused cancer.

The cdpr is no longer regulating chemicals. They are a freeway on ramp for corporations that want to make, sell, and use highly dangerous chemicals.

Especially around our schools!
Please ask our environmental organizations to provide basic information on what pesticides the national parks are spraying.
